We’re looking for an experienced Business Manager to help drive the operational, commercial, and financial performance of our professional services practice. If you love improving how a business runs and enjoy supporting teams to deliver great client outcomes, this role is for you.
This role has a pathway to becoming a COO.
What you’ll do
Support the Managing Director to drive the execution of strategic initiatives
Support the People, Performance & Culture director in managing recruitment, developing talent strategy, workforce planning, capability development and overseeing our various culturally initiatives
Streamline and manage day‑to‑day operations across the practice
Manage and implement internal projects to improve our processes, reporting and business efficiency
Monitor and manage the firm performance metrics
Engage with external consultants to develop and implement our digital transformation initiatives
Work intimately with the leadership team on strategy, planning and continuous improvement.
Responsible for our marketing and our events, to ensure we are actively continuing to develop and refine our brand and positioning.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and develop our services with our JV and Referral Partners
Foster a culture of accountability and excellence
What you will bring
Proven experience as a Business Manager in a fast paced and dynamic organisation across multiple offices
Strong operational acumen
A proactive mindset and hunger for knowledge, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Exceptional communication, problem solving and decision making capability
A collaborative leadership style and passion for building high performing teams

• We’ll allocate you a client base with a mixture of client groups that are interesting & diverse, and you will have an ability to foster fantastic client relationships
• You will anticipate and ensure that client needs are attended to quickly with up-to-date and accurate advice, you know how to make a client feel the love!
• You enjoy having a lot to do and gain energy from being busy, but without compromising accuracy. We also understand you have a life outside of work
• You will mentor a team of exceptional up & coming accountants that are effective and consistent in delivering great results – they are also great people!
• You are happy to work collaboratively with our entire team to deliver on our business deadlines and team goals
• You’ll get involved in Advisory projects across the Business, Strategic and Tax services, and drive innovation in Business Services methodologies
• You need to be CA or CPA qualified, have experience working for a Chartered Accounting firm and have Advanced Excel skills, plus be more than dangerous with PowerPoint, Word and of course, Xero

You enjoy completing management accounts, financial statements, tax returns and helping your clients on day to day business affairs.
You enjoy having a lot to do and gain energy from being busy, but without compromising accuracy.
You are happy to work collaboratively with our entire team to deliver on our business deadlines and team goals.
About You:
You will have commenced your CA or CPA qualification
You have some experience working for a Chartered Accounting firm
Intermediate Excel skills, plus be more than dangerous with Word and of course, a Xero Hero.
You will have a hunger for knowledge too!
